The Chair of Internet and Telecommunications Business is pleased to announce that the ZD.B (Zentrum Digitalisierung Bayern) will fund the research group 'Data Neutrality & Open Access: Coherent Economic Policies for the Digital Economy' proposed by Dr. Daniel Schnurr. The goal of the research project is to inform the quest for a new coherent economic policy framework for the digital economy by taking an interdisciplinary research approach. In particular, the project will deal with issues of how to design access to data in digital markets and which regulatory measures are suitable to ensure effective competition and thereby promote innovation.
The ZD.B initiative supports seven junior research group leaders working on topics of digitisation and innovative projects with high practical impact. The Bavarian government grants up to 1.25 million euros in funding for each research group over the next five years.
