Chayanin Wipusanawan has been a researcher at the DFG Research Training Group “Digital Platform Ecosystems” and the Chair of Internet and Telecommunications Business at the University of Passau since November 2022.
Before joining the University of Passau, he was a doctoral researcher at the Department of Economics, Tilburg University, the Netherlands, where he earned his doctorate in 2023. He holds a Research Master in Economics (2018) and a Master of Science in Economics with Specialization Competition and Regulation (2016) from Tilburg University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (2012) from Thammasat University, Thailand. During his undergraduate studies, he spent two semesters at the University of Ottawa, Canada.
From 2012 to 2015, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangkok, Thailand.
His research interests include the economics of information systems and industrial economics, with a focus on applying microeconomic theory to investigate competition, innovation, and regulation in digital markets.
